Privacy Policy

Voyaguide ("we") runs a travel information and planning platform: destination guides, a visa checker, an itinerary planner and The Circle. The data controller is Voyaguide, reachable at contact@voyaguide.org. Our postal address is available on request.

We practise minimisation: nothing that does not directly serve the journey.

• Email address — when you subscribe to the traveller's letter or create an account.
• Travel preferences — country of origin, destinations viewed, currency and language, to personalise your plans.
• Usage data — pages viewed, device and approximate country, measured by Google Analytics only if you accept in the cookie banner.
• Technical data — browser type and resolution, solely to optimise display.

• Provide and improve the Voyaguide platform and your bespoke itineraries.
• Send the traveller's letter, only if you have opted in — unsubscribe in one click.
• Analyse aggregate trends to prioritise upcoming features.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We never use it for purposes beyond those described here.

A few carefully chosen providers help us operate. Each is bound by a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement:

• Hosting — secure infrastructure within the European Union.
• Audience measurement — Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited), only with your consent. Any transfers to Google LLC in the United States fall under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
• Email — delivery of letters and transactional messages.
• Payment — a PCI-DSS certified processor for The Circle; we never see your card details.

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the following rights at any time:

• Access — obtain a copy of your data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate information.
• Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise a right, write to contact@voyaguide.org. We respond within 30 days.

• Letter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
• Account data: until the account is deleted.
• Audience measurement (Google Analytics): 14 months at most; _ga cookies: 13 months at most.
• Server logs: deleted after 90 days.

We apply state-of-the-art measures: HTTPS encryption, access controls, regular audits and data minimisation to reduce exposure. No system is infallible: in the event of a breach affecting your data, we notify you within 72 hours.

Voyaguide is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe such collection has occurred, write immediately to contact@voyaguide.org.

We notify registered members of any material change by email, at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
